We’re waiting for spring at Copake Memorial Park, where a CGBR Placemaking grant will pay for installation of new playground equipment! The equipment has arrived, it’s ready to go — except for that minor obstacle of winter! The $1,300 grant was awarded to CGBR by the National Association of REALTORS®, following an application by Lindsay Lebrecht, broker with Copake Lake Realty.

The playground equipment, now stored safely in Copake, is designed for older children, improving the park as a magnet for children of all ages.
Among those who gathered recently for delivery of the equipment: Lindsay Lindsay LeBrecht, secretary to the Park Commission; Kelly Miller Simmons, Town Councilperson and liaison to the Park Commission; Liana Roberts, chair, Copake Park Commission; and Park Commission members Santa Claus, a.k.a. Chris Quinby, Joanne Delamater, Terri DeRocha and Stephanie Poucher, with their young friends Wesley and Langdon.
